A Galentine's Getaway in Siesta Key
Single? Me too. It can be tough to watch your coupled up friends take their amazing trips together. Which is why my friends proposed I go on a Galentine’s Girl Getaway!
Well, more like ONE friend, Jade. She had a friend that hosted trips for like minded girl boss’s who wanted to learn from each other and enjoy a fun city. I’m all about meeting new people, so I was quick to sign up! Little did I know what an amazing experience I would have!
Upon first arrival, I was greeted into the most gorgeous home EVER. I mean the front door was my favorite color, cyan, how could I not be in love?? The place was decorated with gorgeous balloons, sweets galore, and goody bags laid on everyones beds. Kahlea, the host and creator of Gal Getaway, had put so much detail into the whole weekend.
The first night, we went around the room to introduce ourselves, what our influencer experience and goals were as well as why we joined the gal getaway trip. Below is my own personal testimony:
Lately, I have questioned who God sees me as. Dealing with loneliness, injury, anxiety, health issues, unworthiness. That there’s a reason why I’m single and maybe I’m the problem. But what I realized was that I need to reinvest in myself. To find inspirational woman to surround me, to remind me of what strengths I have & how other people view me in a positive light.
The weekend was full of fun activities like walking around Siesta Key, a flower arrangement class, a photoshoot on the beach and business chats in the hot tub. These girls gave me inspiration as I learned about how they manage their careers and side hustles. I had never even considered truly pursuing a blog since I didn’t feel like I had a “niche.” But after chatting with these girls, I realized I had a passion for a few things- dance, traveling, and growing my faith. Best part? I was already DOING these things in my day to day life, I just am now sharing them!
Since Gal Getaway, I have kept in touch with the girls and made new amazing fierce female friends who inspired me to create Sincerely Sarah! I cannot continue to express how grateful I am for Kahlea’s mentorship and friendship along with Jade for encouraging me to go on this trip!
I hope that Sincerely Sarah gives you travel inspiration, encourages you in your season of singleness, and empowers you to live your best life the way this trip did for me!
