Hey there!

I’m a 20 something adventurer sharing my journey dancing through destinations. I’d like to think of myself as a travel logistical wizard. Whether you are balling on a budget, solo traveling, or have only 2 weeks PTO a year, my travel blog can apply to any solo traveler. Enjoy my stories & tips as I dance through life!

I’m back!

I’m back!

Guess who’s back…back again…🎵

Hey y’all! After a little hiatus to focus on myself and life, I’m back on my travel blogging game.

So what have I been up to the last six months?

I’m not gonna lie to you, I was burnt out by the time we entered 2021. I felt like I was doing a group project where no one else was participating when it came to Covid. I hadn’t been on a plane since I flew home to quarantine & hadn’t traveled in nearly a year. I was stuck in a job that forced me to risk my health & drained my energy trying to be heard. I was living alone, and the only social interaction I got was when I went to the gym with my mask on. Mind you, I didn’t have the winter blues being in Florida but I definitely felt isolated and a bit depressed.

Where things changed for me was when I could finally get my vaccine in February (I’m autoimmune). Getting that first shot, I went back into my car and just started crying because I felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders and my anxiety/fear of Covid could start to subside.

Having so much free time outside of work this past winter meant I could take another look at my life and really start to make decisions towards my future that best served me. So… I quit my job. I went to Disney, a LOT. I joined an awesome gym community that helped me build back up my confidence. I spent time with friends that I felt poured back into my cup and gave me the same effort I gave with them. I moved back home to NC. I committed to a gratitude journal every day. And I watched myself start to glow again from the inside out.

Long story short, if you’re not happy about a part of your life, do something about it. Start with a vision board, or just a couple goals of where you see yourself in 3 to 5 years and work backwards on what habits will get you to that point. Change takes time, but your future self will thank you.

Now, I just want to focus on living life more fully. And that starts with traveling more! I have lot’s of upcoming plans, but for my first trip I am headed to Chicago this weekend. I haven’t been there before so send any & all recommendations my way :)

Sincerely,

Sarah
